St David's win 12's first division

Unbeaten all season, St David's overcame Rathkeale 4 - 2 in a tense encounter at Cullen on Saturday morning to capture the 12's first division title.

The Saints goals were scored by Timmy Corcoran, Michael Sean Nash, Kieran O Donnell who came off the bench to fire in the 3rd goal and Aaron Landers who

hit the last goal to ease the nerves as Rathkeale's Barry Coleman and Aaron Hogan were also on target. Roy Keogh and Lucas Costello were best for Rathkeale

while Cathal Hallessy, Danny Cunningham and captain, Ben Quinn, have been outstanding throughout this momentous campaign for St. David's and the boys from

Cullen/Lattin were thrilled with their victory. Mike Sean Nash was their

top goalscorer; Mike Sean is a skillful striker with a keen eye for goal and has a very bright

future in the game.

Knocklong defeated Kilteely 5 - 1 in the 12's first division shield. Cian McCarthy scored twice and formed an exciting partnership with Pauliss As in attack.

Midfielders Adam Slattery (2) and Jack Keogh (1) rounded off notable displays with goals also. Robbie Holmes broke through to chip the keeper in the second

half for Kilteely's solitary goal and the visitors had fine performances from Conor Egan, Alan Hanley, David O Connell and Josh Sheahan made many fine saves in goal.

Ronan Hanley hit a brilliant hattrick for Cappamore and Donal O Mahoney added a fourth in victory over Galbally in the 12's premier league

 

10's leagues roundup

Cappamore edged out Pallas in a 9 goal thriller in the blue group; Mikey Stokes and Denis O Connell scored doubles for Pallas while Mike Daly replied with a wonderful

hattrick for

Cappamore who also had Paddy McMahon and Mike Gleeson on the scoreboard. Castle Utd hit 6 in the green section against Holycross; providing the firepower

were Sean O Neill, Ciaran Considine (2), Jimmy Quilty, Sean O Sullivan and Sean Lyons. Rathkeale had a fine win in this section with Patrick Johnson obliged with

a sublime hattrick and Dylan Byrnes also on the mark. Jake O Riordan and Oran O Dea were Kilteely's sharpshooters against Knockainey in the white

group and in the orange section a Cillian

O Shea brace gained the points for Murroe over Cappamore B for whom PJ Hogan was on target.

Charleville Bees were crowned Champions of the green league and captain Mark Buckley accepted the winners cup from Sean Harnett at Rathkeale and mentors Gordan Ryan

and Shane Kilcommins had a smile on their faces for a job well done

In the 14's shield Knocklong and Rathkeale served up an enjoyable 3 all draw, Simmoe As (2) and Brendan McNabb were on the mark for Knocklong and others to

shine for the home team were 'keeper

Brogan Walsh, David Beville, Darragh Keogh and James Hennebry. Sean Keating on the double and Owen Kelly replied for

Rathkeale who were well served by Barry Coleman, Adrian Brennan and Aaron Hogan. Herbertstown B v Kilteely was a cracker, Mark Fogarty opened the scoring for

the Town, CJ O Brien made it 2 - 0 with a piledriver. However, Kilteely struck back to grab the lead with two goals from Jamie McCarthy and one from Steven O Dea.

In the dying minutes Danny O Connor crashed home a fine goal to regain deserved parity for a gallant Town.

Galbally's hattrick hero was James O Donovan and further strikes from Darragh Burke and Patrick O Donoghue ensured a 5 - 3 victory in the 14's first division over Murroe

in a fast, free flowing game.
